Service Description

Discover the transformative practice of Noting Meditation, a mindfulness approach rooted in the ancient Vipassana tradition of 'seeing things as they truly are'. This course blends traditional Buddhist insights with contemporary Pragmatic Dharma teachings, offering a comprehensive and accessible path to deepening your meditation practice. We will accompany the Vipassana (Insight) practice with Shamatha (concentration) and Metta (loving-kindness) practices. By integrating Shamatha and Metta alongside Vipassana insight meditation, we'll develop a well-rounded practice that supports emotional equilibrium and minimizes potential meditation-related challenges (see the teaching sources below). Available in both individual and group formats, our sessions will guide you through the fundamental techniques of mindful awareness. The course duration is a total of two sessions. Contemplative Roots, Lineages Shaping Our Practice: Vipassana as taught by venerable Mahasi Sayadaw Pragmatic Dharma as taught by Kenneth Folk (direct teacher) and Daniel Ingram Buddhist Geeks school founded by Emily and Vincent Horn (direct teachers)
